# Pyreplay Core Reiteration

The community is crucial to our project's success, so I value every piece of input. \
\
Most feedback was great (thank you very much), but one topic that came up often and was critiqued was: \
\
\&#xNAN;***The diversity and types of games available.*** \
\
**Here's the thing:** Pyreplay aimed to run all games on-chain for complete transparency. However, this introduces challenges like block confirmation times and limits us to round-based game types, making real-time strategy games or even Poker less than ideal due to the cumbersome process of signing transactions for every action (every bet, check, raise, even fold would require a transaction). Many of you have expressed a desire for more skill-based games. Given the on-chain constraints, we're limited to round-based games, which don't suit real-time strategies. Just imagine playing Battleship, where each game's numerous actions would require extensive confirmation times, stretching a single game literally for over an hour. \
\
**Moving forward:** Staying 100% on-chain restricts Pyreplay's full potential. I propose a hybrid on/off-chain model, applying on-chain mechanisms where it makes sense (like entry fees, payouts, logins, verifications, ...). This approach could transform Pyreplay into an expansive Arcade hall on Alephium, offering a wide array of games for every taste and type of player. \
\
**For example:** Imagine a game where players pay a $1 ALPH entry fee for a round and can play as often as they like within a certain timeframe (say, 24 hours). The collective entry fees form a large pot, awarded to the top player or top three players after the countdown resolves. We could introduce various lobbies, 1v1 setups, king of the hill formats, and more, making it highly versatile.

**Consequences:**

* Pyreplay evolves into an extensive Arcade hall on Alephium
* A smoother, faster user experience with fewer signing requests
* Games will not be 100% on-chain
* Support for a broader range of games, including real-time strategies
* Quicker to market without the need for regulatory gambling licensing.
* No change to the benefits for NFT holders/investors; they fully translate into the new model

This is a significant shift, but one I believe will unleash Pyreplay's full potential and adhere to the community's preferences. ![😎](https://discord.com/assets/6fedffddf7adb4b5f902.svg)

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.pyreplay.com/development/announcements/pyreplay-core-reiteration.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
